Los Guájares (pron: gwahares) are three traditional Spanish villages - Guájar Fondon, Guájar Faragüit (pron: farahwheet) and Guájar Alto - set in a lush sub-tropical valley on the Costa Tropical in Southern Spain.
They have excellent access to beaches, airports and the Sierra Nevada National Park:
- The popular Coastal Tropical beach resorts of Motril and Salobrena are just 15 minutes by car;
- Granada International Airport is 50 minutes and Malaga and Almeria International Airports are 90
minutes by car;
- The ski resorts and walking routes of the Sierra Nevada National mountains are 90 minutes by car
Properties located in Los Guájares currently represent an excellent investment opportunity with prices typically less than half of those just 15 minutes away in the coastal towns of Motril and Salobrena.

CAR HIRE There a number of car-hire operators based at Granada and Malaga International Airports and at the bigger coastal resorts. Two operators that we have personally received good service from are: Europa Rent A Car and CarJet - both have online booking, a new car fleet, Collision Damage Waiver and good rental rates.
BY FERRY Brittany Ferries and P&O run direct ferry services to northern Spain twice per week: Plymouth to Santander and Portsmouth to Bilboa. From Santander and Bilboa, the drive to Los Guájares is approximately 9-10 hours (at a typical speed of 100 km/h). The route is very direct, with few road changes, and uses good quality motorways and dual carriageways. Please contact us for further information.
BY BUS Spain has a good quality national network of long-distance buses. The main company servicing Andalucia is Alsina Graells (website in Spanish).
